Introduction:

Zanzibar has a rich history and it became a center of trade once it was settled by the Portuguese in the 16th and 17th Century. Zanzibar once held the title of being Africa's major hub of trade before the mainland became more settled and tamed (if Africa could ever be considered tamed). Zanzibar is also known as the 'Spice Island' due to this period when spice was its major trade followed closely by the slave trade and ivory. Zanzibar still today flourishes with the trade of spices, its most common exports being cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper. UNESCO listed Stone Town is rich in history and culture, with a labyrinth of narrow streets, bustling bazaars and ancient buildings. The architecture is a fascinating mix of Swahili, Arab, Persian, European and African styles, testament to the influence that trade brought to the region.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1

    Meeting in zanzibar airport and transfer you to your hotel.

    This day you can relax and enjoy your hotel facilities by your own.


    Over night in Hotel .

  • Day 2

    At 9 am , we will pick you up from your hotel to start knowing and enjoy this island perfectly, you will be taken first to Jozani forest where will have a short hiking in the forest looking for different animal species , while the charming mangrove area awaits you , there is also a traditional dance show waiting you at the end of this tour.


    then you will head to spice garden where you will learn more about the uses of the different spices that the paeple of zanzibar used to use them in the past until now. a swahili style lunch will be served  here.  also you will have a chance to visit Madrasa ( children school ).

  • Day 3

    At 8 am , As usual, after your yummy breakfast, we will take you today on another adventure around this beautiful island.


    to a blue safari. Where you will visit a beautiful island with a snorkeling spot. a full day in the middle of the sea to enjoy magnificent tropical vibes.


    Swahili lunch will be served on the island with seasonal fruits and snacks for refreshments.


    As you glide along in your traditional boat and looking to the sun and sea scenery, the meaning of enraptured takes on its full value.

  • Day 4

    At 9 AM, Today we will have the pleasure to visit the famous stown town.  but first we will visit the turtules and zanzibar zoo.


    Stone Town's architecture has a number of distinctive features, as a result of Arab, Persian, Indian, European, and African traditions mixing together. The name "Stone Town" comes from the ubiquitous use of coral stone as the main construction material; this stone gives the town a characteristic, reddish warm colour. Traditional buildings have a baraza, a long stone bench along the outside walls, this is used as an elevated sidewalk if heavy rains make the streets impracticable, or otherwise as benches to sit down, rest, socialize. 


    After stone town you will go to prison island . Changuu Island (also known as Kibandiko, Prison or Quarantine Island) is a small island 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar. 


    in Zanzibar there is one famouse resturant built on a gaint  rock in the sea called (The Rock) for lunch , we will take you there to enjoy their food and the view ! ( lunch not inluded in the cost ).

  • Day 5

    Free time until 12:30 pm to checkout from your hotel


    Time to say good bye to Africa :D , you will have a private transfer to Zanzibar international airport for your flight back home depends on your travel time.
